RECENT DEVELOPMENTS ON FIXED POINT APPROXIMATION THEORY IN GEODESIC SPACES
ABSTRACT
Fixed point approximation is an important topic in nonlinear analysis. In recent years, researchers have extended this theory to complete geodesic spaces.
These spaces provide a natural setting where geometry and analysis meet.
In this lecture, we introduce some basic ideas of fixed point approximation and explain how iterative methods can be used in this geometric framework.
We also present several recent results that show how curvature affects convergence and how resolvent operators play a key role in connecting minimization problems with fixed point theory.
